Comforter’s Empowerment Initiative Nigeria is a rebranded organisation which used to be The Comfort Foundation. We are registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission and a full legal entity. We have a gender-balanced team running the affairs of the organisation.

Vision

The vision of the organisation is to see an empowered society where every Nigerian is able to face the challenges that lie ahead of them and the rights of women, girl child, persons with disability; and orphans and vulnerable children are prioritized.

Mission

To strive through every positive means and process to empower Nigerians, champion the rights of women, girl child, persons with disability; and orphans and vulnerable children, enhancing their innate skills and abilities with a view of improving their lives and the nation Nigeria.

Our Driving Passion

Across the world, the most vulnerable groups in the society are women and children. Unlike men, women still face considerable amount of problems and they experience worse forms of inequality, poverty and exposure to Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

Children are not left out of this ugly plight, particularly those considered orphans and vulnerable. Majority are exposed to child abuse in forms of hawking, child trafficking and other forms of hard labour. The females are initiated into prostitution while the males take to violence all in a bid to improve their living conditions.

Moved by the increasing cases of travail brought about by changing societal values and inadequate provision of social welfare systems to cope with ever increasing population of women and children, the need to contribute to the improvement of the social and economic needs of the most vulnerable segment of the society became pressing. This led to the generation of the idea of this organisation and ultimately, its start.

CORE VALUES

As a non-profit organisation, we are devoted to selfless service to the human race; particularly, women, girls, persons with disability, orphans and vulnerable children.

We are dedicated to being true, authentic and living our values, the pillars on which all our relationships are built.
