EMPOWERMENT

Improvingthe living conditions of women and youth involves creating a means of livelihood for them. Therefore, CEIN is committed to educating and training women and young people to develop their innate skills and abilities and ultimately reduce dependency on men and the society for economic freedom.

QUALITY EDUCATION FOR THE GIRLCHILD

In many developing countries of which Nigeria is a part, male children are enrolled in schools while their female counterparts are left to handle domestic activities at the home front. However, this is rapidly changing and CEIN is also a part of the change process as she is determined to see that every girl child has a minimum of a secondary education.

GENDER EQUALITY

Gender equality is the state of equal ease of access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender while, Gender-based violence undermines the health, dignity, security and autonomy of its victims, yet it remains shrouded in a culture of silence. As such, CEIN aims to break the culture of silence around gender related issues in Nigeria through its work in Advocacy, Awareness and working in partnership with stakeholders.

GOVERNANCE

Good governance entails effective and efficient structures which provide optimal support to citizens in leading a safe and productive life in line with their desires and opportunities. CEIN aims to balance interests and focus on common goals, particularly reducing poverty and providing access to state services for all.

DEMOCRACY

According to Abbie Hoffman 'Democracy is not something you believe in or a place to hang your hat, but it's something you do. You participate. If you stop doing it, democracy crumbles”. As such, CEIN as a civil society functions as a "space" whose function is to mediate between the individual and the State.

PROTECTING THE RIGHT OF THE GIRL CHILD

At CEIN, we believe that the girl child is the future of a nation; hence, we will strive through every possible means to protect her rights and keep her from violence and abuse of whatever form

HEALTH

NUTRITION

Nutrition plays a very vital role in the health of a child and adult alike. CEIN will therefore ensure that every child has access to healthy foods and clean water

REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH

CEIN is committed to improving the knowledge of people in relations to reproductive health in order to help them make the right choices and understand their sexuality better.

REDUCING MATERNAL MORTALITY RATE

CEIN will promote safe motherhood by ensuring that pregnant and nursing mothers have access to quality health care and nutrition in order to reduce the risks attached to child rearing.

MALARIA PREVENTION AND ERADICATION

CEIN will concentrate efforts on preventative rather than curative measure by ensuring that people live in clean environments and sleep under Insecticide Treated Nets. Efforts will also be made to ensure that there is a constant supply of the ITNs.

HIV/AIDS CARE AND PREVENTION

As part of our mandate to improve the lives of the Nigerian people, CEIN will initiate interventions targeted at preventing new infections and caring for persons living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria, championing the prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV (PMTCT), as well as children made orphans as a result of HIV/AIDS.

ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN

CEIN seeks to improve the lives of orphans and vulnerable children by striving to empower them and eliminate any form of discrimination in the society especially those made orphans as a result of HIV/AIDS.
